This is my 5th year at Chisum and 6th year teaching overall. I currently teach Honors Algebra I at the Middle School as well as Algebra II and College Algebra/Precalculus Dual Credit at the high school. I drive the Slabtown/Biardstown bus route in the mornings and afternoons, and I am the sponsor for UIL Calculator and Mathematics.
In the past, I was the head coach for tennis, cross country, and powerlifting at the high school.
Between my second and third years of teaching at Chisum, I left and taught at Prairiland High School for a year. There, I taught Accelerated Algebra II and Precalculus and was an assistant coach for football and basketball.
My other teaching experience includes a year as a supplemental instructor for College Algebra at Texas Woman’s University from 2014-2015. This is what initially piqued my interest in teaching.
I got married to my wife, Alli, in July of 2020. We do not currently have any children or pets, but we do have 5 nieces that we enjoy spending time with. We recently bought a house and some land in Chisum district, and we look forward to growing our family in the future.
I am the oldest of 8 siblings. My sister, Sarah is a nurse at the Honey Grove nursing home and plans to go to R.N. school in the near future. My siblings Gracie, Kristofer, Ethan, Isabella, and Natilee are currently attending Prairiland Jr. High and High School, and my youngest brother, Lincoln, attends Chisum Elementary School. We are all very close and enjoy spending time together.
In addition to spending time with family, I also enjoy hanging out and doing things with my friends. Recently, I have gotten back into playing disc golf, and I enjoy trying out different courses in the area. I also enjoy playing video games and various tabletop/card games.
